Modern life asks a lot of us. Between work, relationships, family, health and the constant pressure to be chronically online, it can feel like we’re supposed to do everything, all at once, and do it well. But what if the real skill isn’t doing more, but learning how to prioritise what truly matters?
During the evening, Lily will share insights from the book and from her work helping people rethink how they approach ambition, productivity and fulfilment in a world that constantly asks for more.

PAST: The Rise and Fall of the Trad Wife Phenomenon with Caro Claire Burke
Wednesday 5th November - 18:30-20:30pm
Mortimer House
The book that launched an 11-way bidding war – won by non-other than Hollywood’s Anne Hathway – Fabled gives you Yesteryear: a debut novel from Caro Claire Burke. It tells the story of a modern “trad wife” influencer who wakes up transported to 1805, forced to live a life she once curated for Instagram. Evoking echoes of Hannah Neeleman (Ballerina Farm), the Mormon wives phenomenon, and even Erika Kirk (widow of Charlie Kirk, who publicly invoked traditional womanhood) – this is not just fiction. It’s a social mirror.
